Relatively minor news out of Detroit Thursday as the Detroit Red Wings inked physical D man Dylan McIlrath to a two-year, two-way deal worth $1.4 million at the NHL level, and $550,000 at the AHL level. McIlrath is known for his physical play more than his offensive abilities, leading the Griffins with 98 penalty minutes last season. McIlrath could be seen with the Wings next year if the team has injury woes on the blue line but don’t expect an extended stay on the NHL roster.
